Trauma

Trauma can be one big event that impacts you or a large amount of small stressors that build up over time. Either way our body’s response to trauma will always be the same. By working together, we can begin to understand our voice and explore our values in relation to the trauma experienced.

Rise Enlightened holds the belief that humans are able to adapt to their environments in ways that can impact them long-term. While these survival strategies are often learned as a way to adapt to their environment, outside that environment those same strategies can have effects that reinforce trauma patterns.

Through trauma work, we use this belief as a guide to understand the inception of these patterns, what behaviors were adapted to meet either physical or emotional needs, and how we can change those patterns and create new + more meaningful ways of interacting with others.
