Starting therapy can be scary. Consultations provide a space for you to see if Rise Enlightened is a good fit to support you on your journey. Each consultation is 30 minutes and allows you to learn more about the therapy process.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

Life's journey can sometimes lead us through experiences that leave lasting emotional imprints. Rise Enlightened recognizes the profound impact of trauma and the transformative potential of individual therapy by incorporating these concepts into client care:

Personalized Healing: Individual therapy provides a safe and confidential space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts, and reactions.

Holistic Approach: Addressing trauma goes beyond the surface. Using evidence-based techniques, Rise Enlightened can help you process and integrate your experiences, as well as promote emotional, mental, and even physical well-being.

Empowerment and Coping Strategies: Individual therapy provides an opportunity to learn invaluable coping strategies and tools to manage triggers, anxiety, and stress. Empowerment is at the heart of our approach, allowing you to regain control over your emotions and life.

Resilience and Growth: Healing from trauma is about embracing growth and newfound strength. Our therapists guide you in cultivating resilience, and fostering a sense of empowerment that enables you to thrive.

Group Therapy Offerings

The first psychoeducation cohort for the Religious Trauma Support Group at The Greater Dayton LGBT Center has completed.

Religious Abuse Psychoeducation Group

Dayton, OH, Fridays, 7:00-8:00 PM

Any person, seeking to establish, enhance, or maintain relationships with other survivors of religious abuse are invited to participate in this time-limited group that will continue into a monthly support group. The group experience will provide an opportunity for persons to express and relate to each other in their lived experiences with spiritual abuse.  This group will establish a space to: understand more about religious abuse and its impact, gendered beliefs and stereotypes, self-compassion, and broaden opportunities for connection and wholehearted living. Topics may include, but are not limited to:

Signs & Symptoms - Family of Origin - Boundaries

Conflict - Patriarchal & Larger Systems

Deconstruction - Sex & Sensuality - Triggers

Grief and Loss

Group is open to persons of all races, classes, sexualities, abilities, religions, and gendered experiences. This group is stronger with more diverse perspectives among us. At this time, the Religious Abuse Support Group is a closed group, which will meet for 8 sessions.
